Nyanziibiri Eco-community Camp is strategically positioned near the twin crater lakes 2km after Nyakasharu trading center on the road between Queen Elizabeth National Park and Mbarara.

The camp offers you an opportunity to take a break from game drives and stretch your legs with scenic community tours, checkout the spectacular panoramic views of twin volcanic crater lakes to a soundtrack of crested cranes and sea eagles, paddle a canoe, hike to the Transparent Lake and look out for eight species of forest primates. Have a tasty organic lunch with fried fish.

Local attractions around the camp include the historic cave, where a local guide will explain how it was once used in offering sacrifices and cleansing misfortune and as a hiding place from terror during Amin’s regime. There is also the cultural museum in a perfectly preserved Banyaruguru hut, filled with valued local artifacts that were once used as tools in everyday life. Here, you can learn about the charming innovations of a resourceful people.
