Ride for a woman started in 2009 to empower women living around Bwindi forest, through tourism and skills training. The organization owns and runs Bwindi women’s community center. To generate income that contributes to supporting their goals, this none-profit offers an accommodation facility of 8 en-suite rooms with a capacity of accommodating 16 people a night. The accommodation is located next to to Bwindi impenetrable national park, offering a great budget option for guests who want to do gorilla tracking or cultural experiences in the southwestern area. The lodge if fitted with running water and Wi-Fi is available.
The restaurant offers all three meals a day giving options of varied local and international dishes. All food produce/ inputs are sourced from the local community farmers hence extending the tourism befits to the indigenous communities, especially women.
