Rweteera safari park is a destination for nature and cultural lovers on the peripheral of Kibale forest national park. This campsite has a range of community, nature and culture based activities that leave you in awe of the heritage of this part of the country. The area is home to over 130 bird spices that can be spotted in the property around the campsite, Crater Lake shores, swamps, gardens and agricultural plantations in the area.

The campsite will give you an opportunity to sleep in comfortable rooms, bandas, safari tents or pitching your own tent on the beautiful landscape overlooking the craters. It is a perfect base camp to explore the activities in Kibale national park which include primate tours, chimp habituation, and nature walks etc. In the community, you can join the fishing tours, tea plantation tours, or joining a local family to appreciate the local culture.

How to get there:

Rweteera Safari Park is situated on Fort portal – Kamwenge road right at the shore of scenic Lake Nyabikere. When coming from Kampala or from Murchison Falls, you would usually take the route through Hoima to Kyenjojo. From Fort Portal, take the murram road in direction on Kamwenge road for 18km keep left until you reach tea estate and factory and immediately turn right after Rweteera trading center. Once there, follow the signpost.
